Google has finally confirmed the latest stock version of the Android N is called Nougat. Google has said at I/O earlier this year that users could submit suggestions for the name online, after long time, Google has picked the the right name of the N called Android Nougat.
The Google has showed off its new statue design today, which features usually a green Android bot standing atop three bars of the chewy nougats.
What is Nougat?
Nougat is a family of confections made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts, almonds, walnuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, and macadamia nuts, whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit. The consistency of nougat is chewy, and it is used in a variety of candy bars and chocolates.

The official Android N stock ROM will come during the 3rd quarter of this year. Nougat will bring a new cool notification panel, VR support, side-by-side apps and a lot of other improvements.
