Spring 2015 Nail & Accessory Trends
Our spring nail color #NailGlossip chat has me dreaming of warm weather and the END OF SNOW! I can not bring myself to tuck jeans into one more boot, or pile on so many layers that I resemble the Michelin Man. Over it.
To get myself in the mood, I’ve been shopping the ShopBop Sale for spring accessories to pair with my favorite nail color trends of the season. I can’t help it, I love accessories because they always fit! No matter what size I am today, I never have to worry about whether I can squeeze into a handbag or pair of sunglasses. Plus, it’s such an easy way for me to inject color into my wardrobe and I really enjoy finding pieces that match my nails.
Mint
Ever since Chanel brought Jade into our lives, mint nail colors have continued to come in and out of popularity. I love the shade for spring as it feels so fresh. OPI That’s Hula-rious, which I added to my OPI Hawaii review, is a perfect example. It pairs so well the Rebecca Minkoff Crosby Cross Body, which is a style I need to add to my RM collection.

Dove Grey
I can never have enough pale greys in my life. For some reason, there seems to be a drought of them in core collections. So, when I see a slew of them coming out, I hoard. There are so many great greys right now; OPI Cement The Deal, Nubar Choir Girl, CND VINYLUX Thistle Thicket. While grey accessories are seasonless, dove versions have a clean, spring feel.
I just ordered the Converse Chucks and MICHAEL Michael Kors wristlet pictured below. My old grey Chucks are dead. It was time.

Baby Blue & Periwinkle
Why aren’t there more periwinkle polishes? That is the question, you guys. I always find a blue-based purple or purple-based blue more flattering than the warmer versions. It’s because I’m pale and cool-toned. So, I’m all over these soothing baby blues and periwinkle hues. China Glaze Boho Blues is a bluer version of Secret Peri-winkle. Both are must-haves. And if I didn’t already have a couple RM Mini Macs, I would be all over this one.

Aqua & Turquoise
Probably my favorite color story of the season is aqua and turquoise. They’re dive-right-in, oceanic shades that make me want a beach, pool, or even a sprinkler at this point. As you remember from my Morgan Taylor Cinderella review, Party at the Palace is my aqua everything. In fact, when Nouveau Cheap asked me what one, yes one, color I would wear from now through May, it was my answer.
