Is Tamil Heroes Are Better Than Pawan, Mahesh, Charan?
Veteran movie maker Dasari Narayana Rao is back in news with his striking comments which he made at an audio launch event recently. This time, Dasari targeted the Tamil movies that are being dubbed into Telugu which are in turn affecting our low budget films.
Dasari said that even top Tollywood producers are flying to Chennai and are offering fat cheques as advance to Tamil producers in the muhurat day itself. During the release, our producers are paying anywhere from 1 crore to 38 crores to acquire the dubbing rights for Tamil movies.
Even a debut hero’s Tamil film is being offered around 1 crore by our filmmakers whereas none of the Telugu movies featuring our leading stars like Mahesh, Pawan, Charan, NTR and Prabhas etc manage to get more than 50 lakhs towards Tamil dubbing rights.
Dasari further said that he has stopped attending the audio launch functions of all the Tamil movies that are being dubbed into Telugu as he doesn’t want to be part of any trend that will affect Telugu movies and especially the low budget ones.
