Think you’ve seen it all, Mary McFly? Well, ya haven’t. I’m here to tell you that I am about to be transported into the future of gaming…with the Virtuix Omni.

I excitedly start talking to CEO Jan Goetgeluk. He gives me the run-down: “The Omni is the first-ever virtual reality platform that enables you to be truly a part of the video game. It’s, in essence, an omni-directional treadmill that allows you to walk, run, and jump 360 degrees and puts your mind and your body into the game or any other virtual world.”

The Omni is the first-ever virtual reality platform that enables you to be truly a part of the video game.

Ryan Feit, CEO of and co-founder of SeedInvest, tried it out: “It’s, I think, just as easy as playing with a controller and a lot more fun, so I am excited for sports games.”

“I started working on this knowing that it solved a big problem, not just for gaming but for so many other applications: military training simulation, corporate training simulation, physical therapy, architectural design…” Jan tells me about all of the potential uses of the Omni. In fact, it may even be used to improve memory in Alzheimer’s patients.

“Nobody really needs to explain what to do [in order to play], because it’s natural,” says Ryan.

“The Omni solved a big problem, a problem that hadn’t been solved in the last twenty years,” Jan speculates. “And we brought it to Kickstarter, and you know, the Omni speaks to the imagination of a large audience, and so we have an exciting road ahead of us.”

That is literally the coolest thing I have ever done, and I think the future of our medical worlds, our entertainment worlds, and our cultural worlds is going to expand exponentially.
