The daughter of Cindy Adamson and DeVon Minters, she is the sister of Raymond Adamson. She is known to have Vietnamese and African-American ancestry. Before she began her career in acting and modeling, she first worked in the fashion industry as a personal shopper. From 2009 to 2012, she worked at Nordstrom located at the Westfield Topanga mall in Canoga Park, California and later on worked as free-lance celebrity stylist in Hollywood.
She eventually gained more prominence when she became the girlfriend of the R&B artist and musical icon Chris Brown.
