It’s hard to believe that we have been living in our new home for over 2 years now. It feels like yesterday packing our things, and saying a goodbye to a place where both my girls spent a few years of their life. I bet Isabelle will still keep her memories of that place but not so sure about our 4-year-old.

Despite being able to redecorate our new house, each and every room, there are still a few things missing! We all know how pricey moving and then making your new place homey can be, and we do not want to rush any decisions.

One thing we have been very slow about is actually putting our photographs and art prints on walls. Daddy can be very picky about where to place these and has learnt his lesson from our old house. If you choose a spot that is not the best, you are left with a hole in the wall to deal with.

The new place is very different to our previous house, and much more modern. This has made me realise we need to update and go for something a bit different. The best way to get some inspiration is of course online. After searching for some interesting posters online, I finally found what I was looking for.

If you are on Instagram or Pinterest, you will know that the latest trend in the past few years has been adding a bit of Scandinavian touch to your home with some. How about using a few graphical prints? I have included a few photographs below for your inspiration. Which one can you imagine in your home?

The Scandinavian unique sense of style comes from the harsh environmental conditions, and it is often adjusted to the local natural environment.

Despite the simplicity and symmetry, Scandinavian interiors always emit warmth and coziness. The reason for that is in its humanistic side and natural resources.

I was very pleased to be approached by Desenio to review some of their prints and posters. On their website you will find a large selection of high-quality & affordable posters and prints with Scandinavian design, most of which are designed by Swedish illustrators and designers.

It’s easy to get lost in all the amazing prints, so I really appreciated browsing their gallery wall inspiration and their suggestions on how to create different styles of interior and how to combine posters with home décor.

This is our dining room now! Love the fact the framed posters match our wooden cabinet and brighten up our “boring” beige wall. Now just need to get daddy to hang these!

For Isabelle’s bedroom I went for this lovely black & white print with horses. She is obsessed with horses, and every summer she takes quite a few lessons at the farm that is close to my parents’ weekend house in the Czech Republic. When she saw her framed print, she was delighted and picked a spot for it straightaway.
