It’s time to shine! Groovin the Moo (GTM) invites you get involved with your GTM Commoonity. A key part of the GTM fun is discovering and celebrating the wealth of talent in each and every one of the GTM regions. Whether your craft is music, arts or design, you’re studying in your chosen field or you’re someone who just appreciates and likes engaging with the creativity in others, GTM has something for you.

The Unearthed GTM competition is open once again and on the hunt for one regional artist to join the bill at each leg of the festival, in Oakbank, Bunbury, Bendigo, Canberra, Maitland, and Townsville. For the first time, Unearthed is also on the look out for an additional producer in Maitland and Bendigo to add to GTM’s new party stage, The Plot. To be eligible to win the chance to help kick off festivities, bands and producers simply need to have their best tracks uploaded to triplejUnearthed.com by Sunday 22 March.

Do you love taking snaps and think you’ve got what it takes to moove into a career of professional photography? We’re looking for regional Australia’s most promising photographers to be part of SHOOT THE MOO! The prize will include tickets for you and a friend to GTM and a once in a lifetime opportunity to shoot the UK’s effortlessly amazing pop star Charli XCX direct from the photographer’s pit at your local GTM. Each lucky winner will get to meet Charli XCX and score one on one time with GTM’s official tour photographer to learn some tricks of the trade. The winner will also receive a framed copy of their favourite photo. Entries open this week – Friday 13 March 2015 and will close on Wednesday 8 April 2015. GTM are once again calling out to artists, graphic designers, students, professionals and hobbyists to enter the 2015 GTM TEE Competition – round 6 of the annual search for merch! We’re asking participants to develop a GTM Souvenir T Shirt which captures the idyllic retreat that is Australia’s only touring regional festival. Our judging panel features 2014 triple j Uearthed Artist of the Year MEG MAC (who is part of the GTM 2015 Artist Line Up), Carla McKee (Moon Unit – http://www.moon-unit.org) and Chris Drummond (Dangerfork – http://dangerfork.com). The MAJOR WINNER receives an Apple MacBook Pro Air 2, a GTM Merch pack, two tickets to their local GTM and of course, their winning design as official GTM Merch. The TWO RUNNERS UP (HIGHLY MOOS) receive two tickets to their local GTM and a GTM Merch pack each. Fancy yourself in a cheerleading squad? Or are you in a constant search for snapping the best selfie? At this year’s GTM you can do both! GTM is welcoming Newcastle-based Artist Trevor Dickinson into the Famooly to design and install his iconic Selfie Walls throughout each and every one of our events. Trevor is known for his work around Newcastle (The Amazing Merewether Aquarium) and more recently in Canberra. GTM is very much looking forward to taking this on tour! Check it out here.



If you’re heading along to GTM Bendigo or Townsville, keep your eye out for the Sister Cities Art Exhibition. The installation features a series of posters inspired by the GTM 2015 Oasis theme and created by young and emerging artists from both regions though a series of workshops run by Umbrella Studio in Townsville and Yo Bendigo and La Trobe VAC in Bendigo.

In further news for GTM Oakbank, Bunbury and Townsville events, Heaps Decent (a dynamic arts organisation working with young people & emerging artists from marginalised & disadvantaged communities – http://www.heapsdecent.com) along with GTM and a couple of special guests from the 2015 line up will be presenting a backstage workshop on Saturday 25 April in Oakbank, Sunday April 26th in Bunbury and Sunday 10th May in Townsville. GTM in OAKBANK (Saturday 25 April 2015)
The talented crew from Adelaide Hills Vocational College will be returning to Oakbank GTM armed with their spray cans to tackle the GTM Scrim Art project. Last year’s incredible design took over the Main Entrance with the group’s take on the 2014 GTM theme, featuring wild seas and wooden boats with poppies weaving through in a sign of respect and remembrance for ANZAC Day.
GTM is looking forward to working with Mt Barker RSL once again to ensure the spirit of ANZAC is remembered during this weekend.
GTM is thrilled to have local collective Ink Pot Arts involved with the second ever South Australian Event! The group will be kicking off the GTM celebrations at the Oakbank Main Gate entry to ensure everyone feels welcome from the get go!
Music SA, Adelaide Hills Vocational College & Mt Barker High School will all be part of the 2015 GTM Volunteer program. The program is designed to give a taste of practical experience to students studying Events, Arts and Music.



GTM in BUNBURY (Sunday 26 April 2015)
Stirling Street Arts Centre and Bunbury City Council, will be working together to recruit local emerging artists who will use GTM Bunbury as their canvas! Feature designs will be created to adorn the Festival’s Main Gate Entry, the Artist Compound and Mootown, where local DJ’s keep the party kicking throughout the day.
GTM will again be working with the Bunbury Catholic College as part of our ever-expanding Volunteer Program for Youth which for the first time, will also include local Bunbury youth group Hyperspace and Newton Moore Senior High School to provide an entry-level experience for those students seeking to gain skills in the Event and Entertainment Industry.
If you’re a Student living in the area studying online through the Central Institute of Technology and want to break into the Event, Music or Arts Industry, GTM would love to hear from you! The short internship program offers a number of students studying Event Management & Communications subjects the opportunity to work alongside the GTM Touring Team on the ground in Bunbury, gaining experience in the music and events industry.
A huge shout out to the friendly folk at Bunbury Exies Hockey Club who will be putting on a BBQ after the event to make sure everyone has the sustenance for the return journey home.

GTM in BENDIGO (Saturday 2 May 2015) – SOLD OUT
GTM is once again teaming up with FReeZA (Greater City of Bendigo) and Castlemaine College to implement the GTM Volunteer Program, now in it’s sixth year of running it provides the opportunity for youngsters in the regions to experience working on the ground at an event taking place in their backyard.
If you’re a Student at La Trobe University and want to break into the Event, Music or Arts Industry, GTM would love to hear from you! The short internship program offers a number of roles to La Trobe University students studying Event Management & Communications subjects the opportunity to work alongside the GTM Touring Team on the ground in Bendigo, gaining experience in the music and events industry.
Local crew Hiphopportunities are returning with their spray cans to create another feature piece welcoming the audience and the Artist’s alike at GTM Bendigo.
A huge shout out to the friendly folk at Rotary Club Of Bendigo Sandhurst who will be putting on a fundraising BBQ at Bendigo Train Station to make sure patrons grab a bite on route to GTM and on their return journey home.

GTM in CANBERRA (Sunday 3 May 2015)
Wanting to get a break into the Event, Music or Arts Industry? GTM and University of Canberra are working together to provide the opportunity for a number of students studying Event Management & Communications subjects at the University of Canberra to participate in our short Internship program.
For the first time, GTM is teaming up with the young people from the Tuggeranong Art Centre’s Messengers program to participate in our volunteer program for Canberra.

GTM in MAITLAND (Saturday 9 May 2015) – SOLD OUT
GTM’s flagship event is well-oiled community machine!
Steel City Collective will be returning to dispatch their creative designs across the event site. On event day, look out for their live street art and body art displays near the Main Stage and in the Udder Mayhem Industry Bar.
GTM’s longest running volunteer program will continue via partnerships with Hunter TAFE and Cessnock Youth Entertainment Committee.

GTM in TOWNSVILLE (Sunday 10 May 2015)
GTM is excited to bring several new commoonity initiatives to GTM Townsville involving passionate and youth focused organisations.
James Cook University and Kirwin State High School are working with GTM to create the first internship and volunteers programs for the Townsville Event. Students from a range of Event, Music & Communications based courses and backgrounds will have the opportunity to gain practical experience through working with GTM’s management team both during the event planning period and on-day at the Event.
The Youth Network HQ is recruiting a team of young artists to put their creative stamp on the event via the Scrim Art Project and the Live Street Art project.
