This weekend, Kensington Palace released two new photos of Princess Charlotte and we couldn’t help coo over them. After all, we haven’t seen a single snapshot of the newest addition to the royal family since her christening back in July.
Almost five months on, the pics show just how quickly baby Charlotte is growing – and how similar she looks to her big brother.
But unlike George, Charlotte’s hair is quite dark – just like her mum’s. However, the royal tot appears to boast blue eyes, similar to her dad’s.

It was the Duchess of Cambridge who took the two images, which show the royal tot sitting up unaided in a green checked armchair and playing with a toy dog (thought to be the Jellycat Fuddlewuddle puppy) at her country home in Anmer Hall, Norfolk.
The snaps gives us a glimpse of the kind of adorable garments that the Princess rocks on a day-to-day basis: In these two pics she’s wearing a gorgeous floral dress, featuring a ruffled collar and created using a Liberty of London print.
We’re still attempting to determine exactly where the dress is from, but it’s likely it could be from Trotters, where both Kate and Carole Middleton have been spotted shopping for baby bits before.
The Duchess teamed the dress with a super-soft pink Cashmere cardigan and matching pink £11 tights from one of Kate’s go-to childrenswear brands, Amaia Kids.

The photos are the second official series of the youngest royal taken by the Duchess, who’s a keen photographer. Kate also snapped the four photos of a newborn Princess Charlotte being held by Prince George, which were released in June.
In those images, Charlotte wore a white romper suit with a knitted jumper over the top – not a hint of florals or pink in sight.

But her new outfit could indicate that Kate’s more inclined to dress her little princess in girly hues and prints, just as she often dresses George in blue.
We’re holding out hope that the palace will release a couple of snapshots of George and Charlotte together at Christmas, as images of George have done the rounds before to celebrate the festive season.
