years after…
This picture was
taken in June 2008 when Rio visited Lagos, Nigeria to promote education through football.
Oba of Lagos,
Akiolu decorated him with a chieftaincy title - Chief Fiwagboola.
Ferdinand relishing his new title then said:
I’m a
little embarrassed to be named a Chief, I’m not sure I’m worthy. It’s something
to tell the lads. I’m sure they’ll be very happy to call me Chief.
