Position Outline
Delivering the English language and literature programme in an IB certified institution to students aged 15-18.
Location
Situated in Ningbo, a coastal city in Zhejiang Province of southeastern China.
The IB Programme
The IB Diploma programme is a highly valued pre-university preparation recognized in
140 + countries worldwide. All students study 6 subjects from the following groups: First
Language, Second Language, Humanities, Science, Mathematics, and Aesthetics. In
addition, they participate in the CAS programme, attend Theory of Knowledge classes
and complete a 4,000 word Extended Essay.
Students preparing to study for the IB Diploma complete a one-year Pre-IB course. This
is a preliminary programme designed to equip students to progress successfully onto the
Diploma programme upon authorization from the IB. For the first year, the programme
focuses on the development of English skills and introduces the range of subjects
available within the diploma to enable students to make an informed choice of their
diploma subjects. IGCSE certification is incorporated into the first year.

Person Specification
1. Under 57 years old
2. Qualified teachers preferred, two years after graduate experience
3. At least one recent 2-year contract with the same school, steady work History
4. Experience above should be with high schools
5. Nationalities: native speakers or non-native speakers with learning experience in English native countries
Compensation
Annual salary:
Non-certified teacher
180K-300K (teachers without a certification such as B. Ed, M.Ed, PGCE, Teaching License)
Certified teacher
210K- 330K

Flight:
At the time of signing this contract, a standard one-way economy class air-ticket will be provided to the new teacher.
12K/academic year
After completing two consecutive years of employment, from the third year of the contract, two return flights of 12 K per year.
