Southampton Airport is kicking off its winter season with the addition and increase of many new flights.
Flybe are to launch a new route from Southampton to Dusseldorf, from 25th October. This is hugely important for the airport as Germany is the region’s most in demand destination.
What’s more, the airline has also increased its services from Southampton to Amsterdam, Glasgow, Guernsey and Manchester. The airlines has also confirmed it is to continue with its Bergerac and Nantes service through the winter, whilst La Rochelle, Limoges and Rennes will operate over the Christmas and New Year period.
An increase in the festive Santa flights by Canterbury Travel and Transun will launch this December. With a choice of durations by the operators, ‘Santa Seekers’ can choose from day trips and 3 day/2 night packages.
Whilst winter sports enthusiasts will relish in the flights available to St Anton and Mayrghofen by Ingham’s, from 19th December to 15th March. As well as flights to Chambery and Geneva by family ski specialists, Esprit Ski, operator Ski Total and flight only options with Flybe – opening up a world of skiing in resorts such as Tignes, Val Thorens, Val d’lsere or Verbier.
Finally, Eastern Airways have increased the capacity on their Leeds service up to 4 flights per day as of the 14th September.

We are also pleased to see a whole range of leisure options for people wanting to take holidays and short breaks whether it be for some sunshine in Spain or some snow in Austria, France and Switzerland”.
