CRJ3750 Jaw Plant

Terex Minerals Processing Systems features three new products including a new jaw crusher, a new screen, and a new cone crusher.

The Terex Cedarapids CRJ3750 plant combines a JS Series jaw crusher with a high stroke, 52-inch by 20-foot vibrating grizzler feeder to create a high-production portable crushing machine.

“The new CRJ3750 portable jaw plant was developed with input from numerous customers,” says Ed Sauser, product manager at Terex Mineral Processing Systems “The plant includes many features that simplify maintenance and the flush side design allows easier loading. We also designed in many options, including a boom-mounted rock breaker, so the plant can be configured to meet customers’ needs.”

The system boasts a new hopper design to handled severe primary applications, while the jaw crusher features improvements such as wedge release jaw dies and hydraulic assist crusher settings. Isolation of the jaw reduces plant vibration, while the tail of the product conveyor lowers for operation, maximizing clearance under the crusher. The conveyor discharge adjusts to reduce material impact on the receiving conveyor.



MVP380X Cone Crusher

The new Terex Cedarapids MVP380X cone crusher includes enhancements such as high-speed clearing of jammed material and quick crusher separation capabilities for faster manganese changes that are said to increase the unit’s productivity and ease of use.

The 300-horsepower crusher incorporates pinned cylinder ends that remove quickly to allow fast separation for wear material replacement. At the press of a button, fully guided dual-action, tramp relief cylinders provide a 6-inch lift for easy clearing of jammed material to reduce downtime and increase productivity. The hydro-pneumatic tramp iron relief system instantly resets the crusher setting after passing uncrushable material without having to activate valves and pumps. Computer-optimized main frame components are all-cast construction, while a more rugged cone head is designed for abrasive, hard rock crushing applications.

While the company offers new jaw and cone crushing options, screens were not neglected. New there are the Terex Cedarapids V Series horizontal screens, which combine the high g-force ElJay oval stroke motion with variable slope operation to handle larger deck loads. The new design features more steel in the ‘rock zone’ to improve durability. The LJ-TSV screens have multiple new patent-pending features to boost production, including a variable slope that handles larger deck loads and bigger screen openings to increase production. The screens install up to 10 degrees in 2.5-degree increments to suit the application. A patent-pending vibration damper system offers low maintenance, while a patent-pending optional bottom deck deflector boosts efficiency.

Terex Washing Systems previews new washing equipment

Aggresand 206

Terex Washing Systems builds on its Aggresand washer with the upsized Aggresand 206. Like the 165 model, it boasts ease of transportation and rapid set-up time and is pre-wired and pre-plumbed. The new model uses the Terex 20- by 6-foot inclined rinser screen and will be available in two- or three-deck options. Production rates of up to 400 tons per hour are achievable with the larger machine.

The product will officially launch later this year at Hillhead, along with a new generation of logwasher — the Aggrescrub 150 — but Sean Loughran, director of Terex Washing Systems notes that the new unit will “give our customers the same benefits as the Aggresand 165 system, but with even more capacity.”

Warrior 2100

Powerscreen rolls out its Warrior 2100 screen with triple-shaft technology. With amplitudes and accelerations of over 16 mm and 6 g, respectively, the 16- by 5-foot screen box is said to be prolific at removing and breaking up clay materials.

“We strive to develop innovations and ideas that help us stand out from the crowd while, at the same time, offer our customers meaningful operational advantages,” says Oliver Donnelly, Powerscreen product manager. Advantages to this unit, he says, include “improved performance, lower operating costs, and easier serviceability.”

From an owning and operating perspective, the screen design lowers fuel consumption through a lower engine running speed of 1,800 rpm and enhanced hydraulics. It also boasts quick set-up and shutdown times.

Available screen media options include bofor grizzly, finger modules, punch plate, and new 3D punch plate. A chassis riser and telescopic side conveyor option allow for generous stockpiling capabilities while a long tail conveyor offers the ability to feed most secondary plants. Engine options include a Tier 3 Cat C4.4 ATAAC four-cylinder, 120-horsepower diesel engine or a Tier 4i Cat C4.4 four-cylinder, 131-horsepower diesel engine.

Trakpactor 320SR

The Premiertrack 300 crusher boasts a 40- by 24-inch jaw chamber and can produce up to 308 tons per hour of crushed material. Developed with the option of vibrating grizzly feeder or a large independent hydraulically driven pre-screen, the unit is said to improve fines removal and reduce chamber wear costs. An optional hydraulically folding extended side conveyor with a stockpile height of 10 feet, 2 inches has been added to improve stockpile capacity, while a new bypass chute design incorporates a ‘flap gate’ to allow the operator to switch between using the side conveyor or sending the material to the main belt without the need to fit a blanking mat on the bottom screen deck. The plant feature a hydraulically lowering product conveyor with 11-foot, 6-inch discharge height. It can be powered by a Tier 4 Final Scania DC9 80A 272-horsepower engine or a Tier 3 Cat C9 Acert 275 horsepower engine.

Powerscreen’s new Trakpactor 320SR impact crusher is a mid-sized unit that can produce up to 352 tons per hour. The crushing chamber features an 44.5- by 31.5-inch feed opening, hydraulically assisted closed-side setting adjustment, four-bar rotor and twin apron design, and hydraulic overload protection as standard. It has a recirculating conveyor which raises for transport, allowing for more ground clearance under the machine when moving on site and loading for transport. It also has a quick-detach post-screen section which converts it into a standard Trakpactor 320 unit. Options include a grinding path, hydraulically folding mid-grade stockpiling conveyor, an extended fines conveyor with what Powerscreen says is a class-leading discharge height, and a twin-pole overband magnet.

Terex Finlay

Terex Finlay 684

The Terex Finlay introduces its 684, a compact easily transportable machine that offers operators rapid set up and tear down times. The new screenbox features three full size 14-foot by 5-foot, 7-inch inclined decks giving a large screening area of 23 square feet to provide efficient screening and high capacity. The screenbox  features quick wedge tensioning, access holes, and bottom deck hydraulic  tensioning system to reduce time required for mesh changes. All four discharge conveyors hydraulically fold for transport. The fourth product ‘oversize plus’ conveyor can work at varying angles to accurately discharge material for recirculation and stockpiling

A high-performance 42-inch belt feeder, with hydraulic gearbox drive, is fitted to the machine as standard. The hopper has a 10.5-cubic-yard capacity as standard and can be fitted with a 14-foot tipping grid or 12-foot vibrating grid.

A Caterpillar C4 111-horsepower air-cooled engine powers the machine. The heavy-duty crawler tracks and optional radio remote control unit streamline on site mobility.
