Must Have Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials

Just in time for Christmas, here’s your list of the ultimate anti-aging essentials!

These are products for your skin and body, other than topical products, that have proven track records. That is, they really work to stay the hand of time. What better Christmas gift could you get than to age backwards a bit?

Not every ageless beauty needs all of these ultimate anti-aging essentials. Some lucky women retain their crowning glory into their nineties while the rest of us have thinning hair, even to the point of baldness. Others stay trim and fit with seemingly little effort while the rest of us struggle with our weight or feel our physical capabilities declining.

So, you be the judge. Pick and choose according to your concerns about aging. But believe me, the picks in this list are the best you can buy.

Just curious — how many of these do you already own? Leave a comment. Personally I own and love numbers 1 through 4. There’s one more on this list that I’d love to buy, but it’s so expensive … I’m not telling which one. A lady has to have some secrets, n’est pas?

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #1: STOP RF Wand for Face

I just (finally!) got a Tripollar STOP RF Wand the end of September. I’ve been writing about (and yearning for a) STOP RF wand sold by Israeli company, Pollagen, since 2009. Read more.

Pollagen’s spa level appliances took years to get U.S. FDA approval. However both spa and home use models have been available throughout the rest of world for decades. They have excellent safety and effectiveness records.

The home use versions still aren’t FDA-approved but, for reasons unknown to me, we can finally buy them through Amazon U.S.

Amazon also sells the Tripollar POSE RF Wand for the body to reduce cellulite and provide allover toning.

Both devices heat the connective tissue (collagen fibers), causing a healing, regenerative effect, which leads to the skin being visibly lifted, tightened and thickened.

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #2: Quasar LED Wand

Ahh, the Quasar LED Wand. It’s still the gold standard of LED home use appliances. I started writing about Quasar LED wands in 2006.  I was skeptical. So it took me over a year to take the plunge and make the splurge. I’ve not regretted it.

I graduated to the MD model in 2010 and it’s still going strong. I alternate RF treatments and LED treatments four or five evenings a week while we watch TV. Both LED and RF treatments are quite relaxing. Plus they keep my hands out of the chip bowl and they work!

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #3: Winkle Prevention Pillow

I’ve used the About Face anti-wrinkle pillow for six years and wouldn’t sleep without it. It’s small enough to even travel with me. I get a better night’s sleep with no compression wrinkles in the morning. The About Face Pillow has eliminated morning neck and shoulder pain by keeping my head properly aligned all night.

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #4: Fitness Tracker

I started with a Garmin Vivofit three years ago and  upgraded to a Fitbit Charge 2 in November. Read why I love my Fitbit Charge 2.

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #5: NuFACE Trinity

The NuFACE Trinity, with three interchangeable treatment heads, allows you to treat yourself to:

A microcurrent facial over the entire face — including the delicate skin around the eyes and lips; as well as

Red light LED therapy treatments.

All in the privacy of your own home.

What’s more, the price is lower than the better LED wands alone. Can you say “incredible bargain?”

Read what I wrote about the Trinity in Home Use Beauty Appliances 2005-2015.

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #6: Clarisonic Mia Cleansing Brush

I also featured the Clarisonic Mia2 in Home Use Beauty Appliances 2005-2015, where I called it the the gold standard of electrical facial cleansing appliances.

In case you’re wondering whether to upgrade to the Clarisonic Mia FIT, here’s what’s different. The FIT is:

More compact but less ergonomic;

Has indicators on the handle to tell you the current setting your Mia is on, as well as if the battery is low; and

Has a compact recharging stand that you just set the unit on. That is, there’s only one plug (the one into the wall), while the Mia 2 has two plugs (for wall and unit).

Unless you’re on the road a lot, you’ll probably be happier with the ergonomic Mia 2.

Ultimate Anti-Aging Essentials #7 & 8: For Too Much or Too Little Hair

If hairs are growing where you don’t want them and you want a permanent solution, the Tria Laser 4X hair Removal Wand is the best home use laser device you can buy. Others I’ve looked at promise shorter treatments and faster results. However, they use a wider beam of light and lower power. So I doubt the claims.  Read my review of the Tria 4X.

If your hair is thinning, take a look at the Therodome laser treatment helmet for hair loss. It looks like a fancy bike helmet, so is more convenient to use than a laser comb or band.

The Therodome is brand new, so I haven’t written my review yet; but I’ve done the research. I’m very impressed. However I did experience sticker shock. The sporty looking Therodome costs $900.

On the plus side, it’s very easy to use.

The product has a simple, one button operation which uses audio commands to inform you if the battery is low, how many treatments you’ve completed since your Theradome™ purchase, how many minutes are left in a session, and if your laser helmet is experiencing any technical issues.
