Home grown rock superstars Prime Circle will unleash their recently released smash hit album, Evidence, at Gold Reef City’s Lyric Theatre on 6 July.
More than a decade after this Witbank band’s debut on the SA music scene, their unique blend of rasping, layered, melodic rock still has fans screaming for more, and this fifth album is particularly thrilling for live audiences.
“Being on the road in Europe and touring with great bands definitely contributed to us stepping up our game in both the live and the writing aspects,” says bass guitarist Marco Gomes.
Prime Circle enjoy being on the road, which is why they write material that gives them a kick on stage night after night, and their versatility means that they can chop and change at whim during performances. “We look forward to the evolution of the songs,” says lead singer Ross Learmonth, “and they’ll get bigger and better.”
Prime Circle’s debut album ‘Hello Crazy World’, rocketed to gold status in no time at all and their 2008 single ‘She Always Gets What She Wants’ from the album ‘All or Nothing’, remains the most-viewed South African rock song of all time on YouTube, further cementing this multi award-winning band’s status as the most successful South African rock band in history.
Evidence, a 13-track album, was recorded and engineered in South Africa and Los Angeles by music masters Theo Crous, Kevin Shirley, Gavin Lurssen and Leon Servos.
