Are you interested in being an integral member of the most successful community football club in Victoria?

The Old Xaverians Football Club is seeking applications for the positions of Under 19 Premier Coach and Under 19 Reserves Coach in the Victorian Amateur Football Association for 2017.

The key focus for the successful applicants is to maintain our high quality coaching program, working with our Senior Coach James McDonald and Under 19s Coaching Director Barry Mitchell, developing and preparing players in readiness for Premier ‘A’ senior football.

You will be expected to develop and lead a team that will bring individual and team success. You will be a proactive leader in the planning and delivery of training for the under 19 playing group.

It is expected you will act honestly, professionally and with integrity in respect to the coaching role and the Club. Prior experience in coaching is desirable however not essential. You are required to have attained or will attain at a minimum the level 1 AFL Victoria coaching accreditation.

Principal duties include:

Coaching on match day and at training

Selection for both Under 19 Premier and Reserves teams

Implement game plan and structures as determined by the Senior Coach

Recruitment and retention of players

Player development

Communication – regular feedback to individual players and coaches

Effective partnerships with the coaching, fitness and medical staff

Personal and professional development for yourself and assistants

Adherence and promotion of the club values and code of conduct

Attendance at club functions as required

Accountability to the Committee, reporting to the Football Director
