Summer Internship – Web/Mobile Development Aetna
Location – San Francisco
Salary -$14.00-$17.00 per hour
12 week program

Aetna’s Undergraduate Summer Intern Program gives students experience in a given functional area. It also provides a range of experience through company-wide programs. These include:
• Classroom and online-based training
• An executive speaker series
• Social and community service events
• A cross-functional final project
Our internships are paid. They typically last 10 to 12 weeks, for 40 hours a week, from May to August. Most are based at our corporate headquarters in Hartford, Conn., with additional positions at Aetna offices across the country.

Things You’ll Be Doing:
• Assist with the building of mobile/web software and assist with software design and development.
• Build with a focus on client and server side aspects of web and mobile based applications. Build an awesome software stack that meets the short and long term needs of the product.
• Collaborate with UI/UX design and Product Management, to ensure that software solutions meet or exceed expectations.

Technical Chops We’d like you to have:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Science.
• Good web and/or mobile development skills and willingness to learn new technology. We’d love to see your app in an app store or on the web.
• Strong computer skills
• Desired- knowledge or experience building software with Ruby on Rails stack, JavaScript MVC frameworks such as Backbone or similar.
• Desired - knowledge of working with a content management system.
