Learn how to debug .NET website performance issues on high performance Windows Server 2012 infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

* Investigate and remediate website performance issues across many different environments (IIS Web Farms, Microsoft SQL 2014, F5 Load Balancers, Amazon CloudFront)
* Respond to production performance incidents using best in class Application Performance Management tools (AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, Idera SQL Diagnostic Monitor)
* Prototype new application performance management technology Collaborate with developers, quality assurance, database administrators, and product management to ensure the performance issues you find are remediated
* Assist in implementing best practices for change control, problem, incident, and release management (ITIL)
* Participate in a 24/7 on call rotation with other team members for urgent incident response (PagerDuty)

* PowerShell Desired State Configuration
* Write manual scripts to monitor environment changes (PowerShell Desired State Configuration, Puppet, Github)
* Assist with application load testing and the monitoring of infrastructure while under load (WebLoad, AppDynamics, perfmon)
Desired Experience / Skills:

* Exposure to the .NET programming language or debugging compiled .NET code (C#, Visual Basic)
* Basic scripting ability (PowerShell/VBScript/Bash or other language)
* 1+ years of experience with Windows Server 2008 or higher
* 1+ years of experience installing/maintaining a web server (IIS/Apache/Tomcat/etc.)
* 1+ years of experience setting up and managing Microsoft SQL Server Experience communicating technical material to both technical and non-technical client audiences in verbal, written, and presentation form.
* Experience managing crisis situations to resolution, and reporting on cause, action, results, and future mitigation plans
* Experience deploying applications to Microsoft IIS Server Experience with tools like Fiddler or FireBug
* Any exposure to hardening software, network, or operating system environments
* Any exposure to managing (virtual or physical) switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
* A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field is strongly
preferred.
* Equivalent work experience and/or certificate program participation will be considered on
an individual basis.
