Need to reside in either New York, New Jersey or Connecticut as you will be required to come to the New York City office two or three days per week.POSITION SUMMARY: Smart Networks is a new venture from Healthagen, a business incubator that is solving challenges in health care by identifying and building new health IT and services products. Smart Networks is an analytics solution that enables healthcare organizations to improve patient retention, and we are looking for a front end software engineer to join us as we continue to work with customers to build and improve our application.If you are ready to take part in reinventing healthcare, want to be at the forefront of and participate in the technology community, and work with the latest web, native and cloud technology to build applications that enrich people s lives, then this is the position you want. You will be deeply immersed in the product s agile lifecycle, drive new development, assure quality and security across all code, build and deployment, as well as road-mapping the product direction. RESPONSIBILITIES:- Apply your front-end skills to evolve our platform.- Work with a blended team of other senior/junior engineers to create highly scalable and dynamic responsive web and native applications.- Have full immersion in front-end development, and work with multiple technologies to broaden your experience.- Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented; knowledge of how to prioritize and re-prioritize to keep projects moving.- Desire to build and contribute to expand our technology team and participate in the larger software community.- Self-starter who takes responsibility for all actionable items relevant to project progress.EDUCATION:- Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience.REQUIRED SKILLS:- Minimum 5+ years experience developing client-facing responsive web applications.- Proficient in web technology and frameworks such as Ruby/Rails, JavaScript, Angular/D3, jQuery, CSS3, HTML5.- Experience building high-fidelity visualizations based on complex datasets.- Excel in OOP with proven experience.- 5+ years of deep experience with Agile Tools and Methods (Scrum/Kanban/XP).- Comfortable creating custom directives in Angular, using SVG, and div techniques to support legacy browsers.- Proficient with git, branching models and atomic commit operations as well as pull request based code review patterns.- Proficient in RSpec & Cucumber.- Experience with caching across web server, database, and CDN s.- Experience with load/performance testing for both web/mobile applications.- Proven track record with CI, automated builds, and deployments.- Experience and/or interest in the health care space.- Must share links to github/bitbucket or applications that you ve built.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:- Competitive salary, benefits (health, dental, and life), a relaxed and creative working environment, new Macbook Pro, growth opportunities, and the chance to work alongside award winning talent as well as from home for the right candidate.
