Office Based Position in San Antonio, TX

POSITION SUMMARY
Please note: This position is located in our San Antonio, TX office and is not a work-from-home opportunity. The Contract Negotiator will negotiate, renegotiate, and execute large physician group and ancillary contracts in accordance with company standards in order to maintain and enhance provider networks while meeting accessibility, quality and financial metrics.

Fundamental Components:
Accountable for all aspects of provider recruitment and contracting as well as ad hoc network contracting. Responsible for negotiating and renegotiating, new and existing provider agreements, including individual, complex group, value based, hospital based and large group provider contracts in support of network quality availability and financial metrics. Participate in the strategic recruitment of value based contracts satisfying specific network goals and objectives. Provide network development, maintenance and refinement activities and strategies in support of cross-market network management units. Partner across the organization to garner support for network contracting activities to ensure all aspects of operational implementation are completed in a timely and accurate basis.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
Solid negotiation skills Good analytical, problem solving, decision-making skills Managing Competitive and Complex Networks In depth knowledge of the managed care industry and practices. Mastery of provider contracts and contracting options. Strong written and verbal communication.

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
