The Gloster Javelin was an British all-weather interceptor aircraft of the Cold War. It was a twin-engine T-tailed deltawing fighter. The first flight took place on 26th November 1951, it saw service on 29th February 1956. 436 units were built. The Gloster Javelin was the last aircraft to bear the Gloster name.
