UPSC CDS(II) 2015-2016 EXAM Important dates,Eligibility,Vacancies,How to Apply
CDS Exam or Combined Defence Service Examination is an exam conducted twice every year by Union Service Commission(UPSC).It is an exam to induct officers into the Indian Defence Forces:The Army and The Airforce.The exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission(UPSC) .
Union Public Service Commission is going to Dispatched the CDS 2 2015-1016 notification on the 18th July 2015.Candidates should apply for Combine Defence Examination before 14th August 2015.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality:A candidate must either be
A citizen of India,or
A subject of Bhutan,or
A subject of Nepal.,or
A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st july,1962 with the intention to permanently setting in India,or
A Person of India origin who has migrated from any other country and have issued the certificate of eligibility from the government of India
Certificate of eligibility will not be necessary in case of Gorkha Candidates subjects of Nepal.
Age Limit,Sex and Marital Status
For Indian Military Academy(IMA) and Indian Naval Academy (INA):Unmarried male candidates between 19-24 years i.e. born not ealier than 2nd July 1992 and not later than 1st July 1997.
For Air Force Academy(AFA):Age 20 to 24 years i.e. Not born earlier than 2nd july 1992 and late than 1st July 1996.Candidates below 25 years of age must be Unmarried.
For officers training Academy (SSC Course for men):Male candidates (both Married and Unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July 1991 and not later than 1st july 1997.
For officers Training Academy(SSC Women non-technical Course):Unmarried Women (issue-less widows and issue-less divorced womens who are not remarried are also eligible).Born not earlier than July,1991 and later than July 1997.
Educational Qualifications
For Indian Military Academy/Officers training Academy-Degree from recognised university or equivalent.
For Indian Navy Academy-Bachelor of engineering or B.SC with physics and Mathematics
For Air force Academy-Degree of a recognised University with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or Bachelor of engineering

Aspirants have to pay application fee of Rs 200/- for general & OBC category.
