Hasbro and Backflip Studios announced the release of My Little Pony: Puzzle Party on mobile. The puzzle game allows users to complete levels with Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy and other characters from the My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic television series.
In each level of My Little Pony: Puzzle Party, players are challenged to complete a different goal before running out of moves or time. For instance, one stage may ask users to collect the required numbers of specific colors of symbols, while another stage may ask users to collect key items by dropping them to the bottom of the board.
Users can clear symbols from the board by tapping on groups of two or more touching symbols of the same color. As users clear groups of five or more symbols with a single tap, they’ll create power-ups that can clear whole rows or columns of symbols from the board, create explosions that will clear small groups of symbols and more.
In addition to creating power-ups as they play, users can also purchase power-ups to take with them into stages. Gamers receive a few of these power-ups for free, and they can purchase additional power-ups with premium currency.
Elsewhere, players will be able to unlock different ponies from the TV series over time, and each pony has a different special ability that users can activate while playing. For instance, Applejack can clear one chosen symbol from the board.
