Zynga has announced the release of this year’s Halloween content update in FarmVille 2: Country Escape on mobile devices. The Halloween Pumpkin Pageant event challenges players Level 9 and up to complete six new quests and craft specially themed recipes to earn Potion Points. This event is broken into two stages, each lasting five days. Both stages give players a chance to earn prizes for their game.
During this event, players will be able to send Farmhands to the new Corn Maze, which requires one Corn Maze Ticket to access. Each Corn Maze Ticket can be crafted for 200 coins in the Windmill crafting building. The Corn Maze gives players access to event-specific crafting items, including Willow Bark, Vanilla Extract, Spider Silk and Dark Chocolate. Visiting the Corn Maze takes one hour, and supports up to four Farmhands at a time.
The event’s special crafting items are also available to earn at other locations around the farm. To be specific, Willow Bark is also available at Pappy’s Pond and the Mallard Mill, Vanilla Extract is available at Grandma’s Glade (and through prized animals), Spider Silk is available through Grandma’s Glade and the Prosperity Pier and Dark Chocolate is available at the Merryweather Mine.
Players can sell their crafted items at the Halloween Pumpkin Pageant Stand near Eagle Eye Eddie’s airplane. Each item request is time limited, and players can skip a particular request if they’d rather not create the necessary item. Users can also pay Keys, the game’s premium currency, to complete a request instantly. When users skip a request, a new request becomes available in 10 minutes, or players can spend Keys to instantly receive a new request. Each time users sell a crafted item via this menu, they’ll receive experience points, coins and Potion Points.
As players collect Potion Points, they can track their position on a leaderboard of other players also participating in this event. The game will reward users based on their position on this leaderboard when the event ends. Players in the top gold portion of the leaderboard when the event ends will receive the Czech Wolfdog, a permanent Farmhand for their farm. Players in the silver portion of the leaderboard will receive two Padlocks, three Silver Stamps and two Gold Stamps. Finally, players in the lower bronze level of the leaderboard will receive two Nails, five Bronze Stamps and five Golden Gloves.
A special edition of the Czech Wolfdog, the Charmed Czech Wolfdog, is available to players who place in the top five of their leaderboard for both stages of the event.
If players want to earn more Potion Points without crafting additional items, they can purchase special boosts which increase the number of Potion Points they earn for a limited time. One boost is available for coins, and increases the number of Potion Points players receive by 50 percent for one hour. A second boost is available for Keys, and doubles the number of Potion Points players receive for one hour.
