Axia Public Relations earned two awards for its outstanding grand opening PR campaign for a national restaurant and family entertainment center.
Last week, the Florida Public Relations Association presented Axia Public Relations with a Golden Image Award, the top award in the special events category, and a Judges’ Award for achieving maximum results on a minimum budget, during the association’s 2015 Golden Image Awards ceremony at its annual conference in Orlando.
The FPRA presents the Golden Image Award to the best public relations work that meets the standards of excellence as determined by independent judges. Axia Public Relations received these awards for delivering expert PR counsel and services during its successful PR campaign for client Dave & Buster’s Panama City Beach restaurant grand opening.
Axia’s efforts to promote the company’s new location to the public earned outstanding results. D&B grossed its second-largest opening-day day sales in 30 years – and the most ever for a Monday opening – with guests lining up around the block, eagerly waiting for the new restaurant to open its doors; more than 1,000 guests visited the restaurant and family entertainment center that day. Axia secured 46 news stories related to the restaurant opening, which reached 1,527,735 people, according to NASDAQ Media Monitoring. This included coverage in several of the area’s top news outlets resulting in an estimated $382,510 in earned media coverage for the client.
“Through our public relations programs, our team creates the PR outcomes that impact our clients’ businesses,” Axia CEO Jason Mudd explains. “We are always pleased when our industry peers recognize us for our work on behalf of our great clients.”
Earlier this year, the Tampa Bay chapter of the FPRA awarded Axia an Award of Distinction for special events at its Image Award ceremony. Last year, Axia received FPRA’s Judges’ Award at the Golden Image award ceremony for its work for franchisor Brightway Insurance.
Axia has received award recognition from FPRA twelve times in so many years.
FPRA conducts its annual Golden Image Awards competition to recognize companies and individuals who demonstrate outstanding achievement and professionalism in public relations. The awards fall into four major divisions: public relations programs, printed tools of public relations, audio/visual tools of public relations and student projects in public relations. The winners are some of the most brilliant minds in the industry and exhibit distinct aptitudes for innovation, creativity, design and planning.
