The Jacksonville and St. Augustine locations of Freedom Boat Club earned special honors at the company’s annual conference, held late December. It was the third year in a row the northeast Florida franchise won national recognition.
Lisa Almeida and Kevin Seelig, co-owners of the Jacksonville-St. Augustine franchise, were selected as “Freedom Boat Club Brand Champions” for 2014. This award is presented to the franchise owner who best represents the Freedom Boat Club brand. Not only did Almeida continually promote the brand and build awareness in her regional market through a variety of high profile PR and promotional initiatives, but she also is actively engaged in the marine industry through trade show participation, as well as serving on the Recreational Boating and Leadership Council’s national Diversity Task Force.
“Lisa has done an outstanding job marketing and promoting Freedom Boat Club both in her market as well as on a national level within the marine industry,” said Freedom Boat Club President and CEO John Giglio. “We appreciate her extraordinary level of brand enthusiasm and the passion in which she represents Freedom Boat Club wherever she goes.”
Capping off its 25th anniversary milestone this year, Freedom Boat Club hosted its annual National Franchise Conference at the Florida Boca Raton Club & Resort. The highlight of the four-day conference featured the highly anticipated national awards program which recognizes top performers.
At the 2013 event, the Jacksonville-St. Augustine franchise was honored for achieving the highest percentage increase in revenue for Freedom Boat Club. In 2012, the local club won recognition for handling visiting members from the other 85 clubs in the most professional and customer focused manor.
