A different way of free flight competition.... FREE!

Andy Hediger, Aeroatelier.com

The aim of this new fun competition format is to encourage pilots in any flying region to enjoy stress-free cross country flying. This can be done without leaving their own comfort zone. To make the best use of a flying day each kilometer flown will be taken into account. There is no set task. On the contrary, scoring is weighted by a glider classification handicap factor so that pilots of all wing classes appear in the same results. A "Free Ride Challenge" can either be set up as a seasonal event or announced as a 4 day meeting in a particular flying area. Each pilot’s best three flights are counted for the result.
The Free Ride Challenge has been set up by past World Cup winner and pioneer acro pilot Andy Hediger. Andy operates an airsports academy in Argentina, www.aeroatelier.com. A “Free Ride Challenge" can be carried out anywhere in the world. Interested organisers or clubs can contact frc@aeroatelier.com direct.
