For the past few years, God has formed a friendship between Advancing Native Missions and Michael Chanley, executive director of International Network of Children’s Ministry (INCM) and founder of CMconnect.org. We have found a like-mindedness in the way we serve the Body of Christ. While ANM strives to serve God by serving those who are reaching the unreached, INCM’s purpose is to SERVE | SERVE | SERVE: serve God while serving those who serve His children.

One of the fruits of this friendship is that in 2014 we will partner with Michael and his team to train more than 500 children’s workers in Uganda at the request of one of our native missionary partners.

We will use INCM’s five initiatives for children’s ministry as the basis of our training program:

Impart God’s truth to this generation

Provide a safe and relevant environment

Communicate with families

Network with a community of leaders

Pray for the international children’s ministry community

We are excited by these initiatives. Even better, our native missionary partner is ecstatic that we will introduce these initiatives and help the children’s workers of his country learn how to deepen their walk with the Lord.

Would you like to help make this training possible? Your gift of just $75 will cover the cost of feeding, housing, and providing strategic ministry training for a participant for an entire week.

Another fruit of this friendship is that INCM’s global training director, Lori Bethran, invited ANM’s president, Bo Barredo, and two of our native missionary partners to speak at INCM’s 2014 Children’s Pastors Conferences (CPC). These events will be held January 15–18 at Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and February 17–20 in Ontario, California.

ANM has participated as a resource provider in previous conferences, challenging children’s workers to teach their children about what God is doing to reach the nations and giving them ways to join Him. In addition, one of our staff has taught breakout sessions at the conferences and served on INCM’s advisory board. But this year we look forward to bringing a bigger team so we can more effectively encourage attendees and help them learn about, connect to, and engage with what God is doing to reach the unreached.

Please join us in praying for God to use our team to encourage, equip, and challenge the children’s workers attending the conferences. Please pray also that God will give us opportunities to share the stories of faithful native missionaries. And look for us at CPC 2014!
