The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) notified All India Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Competitive Examination 2016 scheduled to be conducted on different Dates in two Shifts (Forenoon – Noon / Morning & Afternoon-Evening Sessions) during September and October  2016.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) shall release THREE WEEKS (i.e., in the First Week of September 2016) the e-Admittance Certificates / Hall Examination Tickets for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 participating Candidates. The Commission uploaded Electronic Admit Cards shall remain available for downloading commencing on the 4th of September 2016 (04.09.2016) onwards.

In view of the Staff Selection Commission notified All India Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 in the Computer Based Online Test Mode scheduled to be conducted on the 25th of September 2016 (25.09.2016), 9th of October 2016 (09.10.2016) and the 16th of October 2016 (16.10.2016); Online Registration the same comes to an end on the 1st of August 2016 (01.08.2016).

The Staff Selection Commission shall conduct in various parts of the country the All India Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 for recruitment to 6578 Posts consisting of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants (PAs / SAs), Data Entry Operators (DEOs) and Lower Division Clerks (LDCs).

SSC CHSL 2016 NEW Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission notified Computer Based Online Test consisting of Four Sections shall comprise 200 Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions (OTMCQs) shall be held in two Shifts (Morning and Afternoon Shifts) for the said Posts Postal Assistants (PAs) / Sorting Assistants (SAs) / Lower Division Clerks (LDCs) / Data Entry Operators (DEOs) respectively.

Note – I: The Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam, 2016 will comprise the Objective Type-Multiple Choice Questions (OTMCQs) only as hereinabove. The Questions will be set both in English & Hindi Languages for Part-I, III & IV.

Note – II: There shall be Negative Marking of 0.25 Marks (or ¼th) of the Total Marks for each wrong Answer given by the Candidates.

Note – III: The Staff Selection Commission shall place the Optical Mark Recognition Based Test Booklet Set wise Answers Key in Set A, Set B, Set C, Set D Series in Portable Document Format (PDF) File or otherwise on the Commission’s Website upon conclusion of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016.

The Commission shall intimate the Candidates to report to the Staff Selection Commission in case of misrepresentation regarding the Optical Mark Recognition Based Answer Sheet / OMR Based Test Booklet Answers Key in Set A, Set B, Set C & Set D of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination.  The Objections / Representation of the Optical Mark Recognition Based Test Booklet Answers Key received within 07 days of uploading of the All India Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Exam 2016   Answers Key will be scrutinized but the decision of the Commission in this regard will be Final.

Note – IV: The Staff Selection Commission, in case of Reservation might introduce Additional Stage of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016, if any, which might be notified in due course of time by the Commission, if deemed necessary.

Mode of Selection:

The Staff Selection Commission would SHORTLIST the Candidates on the basis of their respective performance in the Objective Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 before summoning them for the Skill Test.

The Staff Selection Commission, among the Candidates who qualify in the Skill Test, would recommend them for Appointments based on their performance in the All India Computer Based Recruitment Test (AICBRT). The Staff Selection Commission would carry out the selection of the Candidates depending on their Merit Positions and the Options for various posts, Departments for which option they will exercise the Option.

The Staff Selection Commission further sets the following Criteria for Final Selection of the Candidates:

The “Data Entry Speed” Skill Test would be of QUALIFYING NATURE. The Candidates allowed to take this Test, will have to QUALIFY THE TEST at the prescribed speed on Computer, to be provided by the Commission or the Agency authorized by the Commission to conduct such Skill Test at the Center / Venue so notified.

Only those candidates, who qualify in the Written Part of the All India Computer Based Online Test and would secure Minimum Qualifying Marks as may be fixed by the Staff Selection Commission in their discretion, will be considered Eligible to take the Skill Test.

Only such candidates who qualify in the Skill Test at a speed of not less than 8000 Key Depressions Per Hour (KDPH) will be deemed Eligible for being recommended for Appointment as per their position in the Merit List.

None of the Candidates including PH Candidates who qualify in the Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016 will be exempted from the Skill Test as passing of the skill test is a Pre-Condition and one of the Essential Qualifications for Appointment to the Post of Data Entry Operators (DEOs).

Resolution of TIE Cases:

In case where more than One Candidate secure the Equal Aggregates Marks, TIE will be resolved by applying the following Methods one after another:

i) Marks in First Part of the Written Part of the Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination 2016.

ii) Date of Birth, with Older Candidates placed Higher.

iii) Alphabetical Order in which First Names of the Candidates appear.
