The Central Recruitment & Promotion Department notified Recruitment to Specialist Cadre Officers In the State Bank Of India On Regular Basis & Contractual Bases 2016 earlier slated to be conducted on the 25th of November 2016 has been rescheduled for the 20th of January 2017;

and hence, the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department has declared a Date for issuance of the electronic Admit Cards / Hall Examination Tickets.  As a result, the Candidates appearing in the said Computer Based Online Test for Specialist Cadre Officers In the State Bank Of India On Regular Basis shall be able download their respective electronic Admittance Cards / e-Call Letters commencing on the 10th of January 2017 onwards.

Relevant To The Candidates To Be Selected / Recruited On Regular Basis:

Selection Procedure:

(Post Sr. No. 01 to 04):

(a) System Officer, Developers, Test Lead, Tester and Statistician. The Selection of the Candidates would be on the basis of the Computer Based Online Test and Personal Interview. The Objective Written Examination will be conducted tentatively on 25.11.2016 (In case the number of the Applicants were less, (Post Sr. No. 01 to 04) Bank reserves the Right to complete the Selection through Shortlisting and Personal Interview instead of through Online Written Test and Personal Interview).The Date for the Objective would be uploaded on the Bank’s Website and also advised to the Candidates through SMS and e-mails. Candidates will be required to download the Call Letters.

The Objective Test may be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, Patna & Thiruvananthapuram Centers. The Bank, however, reserves the right to add or delete any Center and allot the Candidate to any Center other than the one he / she has opted for.

Except Professional Knowledge (PK) Paper, other Papers shall be of Qualifying in nature. The Candidates have to score the Minimum Qualifying Marks in these Papers. The Minimum Qualifying Marks will be decided by the Bank. The Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions will be bilingual, i.e., in Hindi & English. The Candidates will have option to answer the Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type in Hindi or English Languages (except for the Test of English Language).

To be eligible for being Shortlisted for Personal Interview, the Candidate shall have to score Equal to or Above the Cut-off Marks to be decided by the Bank for the Professional Knowledge Test (PKT), besides scoring Equal to or Above the Minimum Qualifying Marks in other Tests.

The Candidates must secure equal to or more than the Minimum Qualifying Marks (to be decided by the Bank) in Personal interview to be considered for Selection. In Personal Interview, the Candidate may opt for Hindi Language also.

Merit List:

a) for Selection shall be prepared in Descending Order based on the Scores obtained in Professional Knowledge Test and Personal Interview or Interview only, as the case may be.

b) In case more than one Candidate Score the Cut-off Marks [Common Mark at Cut-off Point], such Candidates would be ranked according to their Age in Descending Order, both in the Select List as well as in the Wait List.

Criteria for Selection:

Above are the Positions on Contractual Basis with the Provisions for Termination from either side by giving 03-Months’ Notice. The Selected Candidates shall be required to sign an Employment Contract while Joining / before being offered a Letter of Appointment.

Procedure for Selection:

Selection of the Candidates shall be based on Shortlisting and Personal Interview.

Personal Interview:

Adequate number of the Candidates as decided by the Central Recruitment & Promotion Department / State Bank of India would be shortlisted based on their Academic / Educational Qualification, Professional Experience / Working Experience and overall suitability for Personal Interview. The Qualifying Marks in Personal Interview will be as decided by the Bank.

Merit List:

Merit-List for Selection will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in interview only. In case more than one Candidate scores higher than the Cut-off Marks [Common Mark at Cut Off Point]; such Candidates will be ranked according to their respective Age in Descending Order, both on the Select List as well as in the Wait List.
