JEE Advanced Syllabus & Question Papers 2016
The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2016 consisting of the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) shall comprise the Objective-Type Multiple Choice Questions to test the Candidates’ Comprehension, Reasoning and Analytical Ability. The JEE (Advanced) would consist of to (02) Papers; i.e., Paper I & Paper II with Negative Marking for Incorrect Responses / Wrong Answers to the Multiple Choice Questions of Objective Type. The Duration of the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) scheduled to be conducted in two Sessions (Forenoon & Afternoon / Evening) shall be Three (03) Hours each.
The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) shall be conducted on the 15th of June 2016 for which Online Registration shall commence on the 12th and close on the 13th of June 2016.

The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) Rank List for admission into the aforementioned Courses – Criteria:
Rank Lists:
Only those candidates who appear in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 shall be considered for Ranking.
The Marks scored by a Candidate in Physics in JEE (Advanced) 2016 would be considered Equal to the Marks obtained in Physics Part of Paper 1 PLUS the Marks secured in Physics Part of Paper 2. The Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics by the candidates would be calculated in the same way.
The Aggregate Marks obtained by a Candidate in the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2016 shall be the sum of the Marks awarded to him / her in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Rank Lists would be prepared based on the Aggregate Marks in Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2016 obtained.
In case of the Aggregate Marks scored by two or more Candidates being the same, then the following Tie-Resolution Policy will be used for awarding ranks to them:
Higher Rank will be assigned to the Candidate who has obtained Higher Marks in Mathematics Section of the Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced). If this does not break the TIE, Higher Rank would be assigned to the Candidate who has obtained Higher Marks in Physics. If there is a Tie Even after this, Then Candidates will be assigned the Same Rank.
Rank Lists for Preparatory Courses will be prepared for the Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe Candidates and PwD Candidates in all Categories who satisfy the prescribed Relaxed Criteria described in the subsequent lines.
A Candidate who qualifies in more than one Category will be considered in all the Categories which he / she belongs to for the purpose of Ranking.
There will be no Waiting List for Ranking prepared out of Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2016.
In case of non-availability of the JEE (Adv) e-Admit Cards / Hall Exam Tickets for downloading, the candidate are advised to contact the Chairman, JEE (Advanced) 2016 of the respective Zonal Indian Institute of Technology.
