One of the better parts of the sports culture in this state is an extreme loyalty to one’s high school. Some people consider their high school’s rival to be as important as their college one. And while football still takes a backseat to football in this state, in some communities the football tradition is a source of great pride. Well, the high school football playoffs begin this Friday night, with 195 teams battling it out for 6 state championships. I am off tomorrow and Friday, but I will update the schedule every Friday from here on out.
