“Why a Patreon page for the CDChallenge?” you might ask.
The reason is quite simple.
The CDChallenge community has become so HUGE that we simply need a bit of help to keep it going.
For our small team organising all the monthly challenges, managing thousands of entries, deleting spam, inviting the jurors, replying to hundreds of questions and moderating the community has become a full time commitment which requires a great deal of time, money and energy. This level of organisation is hard to achieve and very difficult to maintain without any help, and here is where Patreon comes in.
Patreon works a bit like Kickstarter, but instead of asking you to invest a bunch of money on a product that still needs to be created, it makes you leave a small tip every month to support an already existing project and, by doing so, also access exclusive perks! The Challenge Rewards & the New Survey!
To make it even more simple, think of it as just chucking a few coins to a street musician, only you are doing it online. Patreon is way to join your favourite creator’s community and help them for making the stuff you love.
Becoming a Supporter of the CDChallenge on Patreon will not only make you access to awesome prizes, exclusive perks and keep the CDChallenge alive, but.. it will also improve it! We have some really big plans for the future to promote the artists of this community even more, neat things such as:
Posting the best submissions from each monthly challenge on our Facebook Page (followed by over 500.000 fans) everyday!
Translating the rules for the CDChallenge in different languages!
Creating a promotional video, to discover all 60 finalists of each challenge, every month!

We know very well that not everyone can commit to support someone on Patreon: If you can’t afford it, don’t give it a second thought, the CDChallenge is and will always be FREE.
