Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Auburn in natural sunlight
Pretty sure you’ve seen Anastaia’s Dipbrow Pomade everywhere unless you’ve been living under a rock or managed to dodge beauty enthusiasts on all social networks. I tried to avoid it; I have every brow product under the sun and love a great deal of them but this product was in just about every blogger, IG blogger, and vlogger’s hand.
I had to hunt it down…literally. My friend and I called a list of Sephora and Ulta locations, found it at a new Ulta in Orange County (about 30 minutes away) only to find out I had I was confused and mixed up two stores and should have been in Pasadena (and hour away)… but we got it!
Since I have enough dark brown brow product and I have maroon jumbo braids, I decided to go with auburn since it’s a lighter brown and has warm tones. I also noticed in swatches I’ve seen it blends nicely and it looked build-able. It was a perfect match for me! But finding good swatches was not easy task because most pictures on Instagram are with the use of multiple brow products and heavy editing. The others I found didn’t show them blended which is important because most would blend such a product.
What I love
Unlike using cream eyeliner, you have time to work with this pomade and blend it
When you blend it, it gives an airbrush finish without getting “skips” and spooly lines
It covers hair well without looking like a layer of hair and a layer of product
It’s bulletproof and when you rub it with a little force it still does not budge
It looks great until it is ready to come off I didn’t find myself with shiny brows and it was still matte…which brings me to my next point
What I did not like
After 5 hours it looks great but a gentle touch and it’s gone! You can find yourself with a partial brow.
What I can live with
When I used Milk of Magnesium as a primer it did not budge…even at the end of a long day.
It is more of pro product but more makeup lovers are eager to use more advanced products these days.

I received a lot of well wishes today, thank you all and a few people talked to me about their dreams to make it in this business. I want to share a story of a failure of mine that become a success 14 long years later. In 1999 I created my product line which then was sold in Nordstrom’s a year later. I created brow powders, pencils, brushes, tweezers, brow gel and something that I loved and used a lot on my clients called Brow Pomade. At that time the hype in makeup was all about red carpet it really just started to happen and celebrities were on the cover of magazines for the first time rather then models. The popular trends in makeup were a more natural soft look and most women used just brow powder for their brows and maybe some light strokes of wooden pencil which is very soft. Brow Pomade was considered too dramatic, difficult to use at the time and no matter how much I tried to educate it just didn’t sell. Eventually I had to take all the products back from Nordstrom’s [not their fault, it just didn’t sell] and throw out thousands of products [around 15,000 which was a lot for me]. I kept a few because my products are like my kids. I brought the old pomade with em to the office yesterday to show it to @norvina who worked with me since day 1 in 1997 and every emotion came back. Dipbrow launched last month and to see the support and acceptance of this product made me happier than any of you realized. Not because it’s selling, but because I was always on to something good, but maybe not enough time had passed for its time to come. Don’t get discouraged ever, keep moving towards your goals and success will find you. It takes 15 years to achieve overnight success, but now with social media maybe its more like 5. Thank you so much, love you guys. #anastasiabeverlyhills #anastasiabrows #dipbrow
