To support the efforts of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Connecticut, marketing and advertising agency, Adams & Knight, donated an entire creative campaign to promote the annual walk/race in Bushnell Park, Hartford on Saturday, June 1st this year.
The integrated marketing campaign features breast cancer survivors and their families across an entire array of integrated traditional, online and social media marketing tactics, such as TV commercial, posters, billboards, banner ads, etc.).
Reem Nouh, board member of the Connecticut affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure and senior vice president of strategic services at Adams & Knight says, “The Komen CT Race For The Cure helps local women, which is important because Connecticut has the second highest incidence rate of breast cancer in the U.S. This campaign not only helps get the word out, but it also inspires everyone to work together to end breast cancer in this state . . . and beyond!”
Komen Connecticut’s primary focus is on the local community, educating Connecticut residents on the importance of early detection, funding free screening services and providing support to those diagnosed with breast cancer. The organization invests 75 percent of net proceeds in local breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs across the state. The remaining 25 percent is invested in national research to find the causes and cures. It has made over $1 million in community grants available to local organizations providing lifesaving services for women in need across Connecticut and relies on the support of the local community to continue investing in cutting-edge research and local breast cancer programs for Connecticut women and their families.
