Complimentary shuttle buses transport visitors along the embassy routes. Participating embassies include: Croatia, Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Latvia, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Austria, Cyprus, Estonia, France and the Federal Republic of Germany, Ireland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, Belgium, the Czech Republic, the Delegation of the European Union, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Republic of Poland, Slovakia, and Sweden. Washington, DC – Get those beach bodies ready for summer! VIDA Fitness and theCapitol Riverfront BID have teamed up to offer a wide selection of free outdoor classes fromMonday, April 28 through the end of August at Yards Park located at 355 Water St, SE in DC’s Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. The Get Fit For Summer Workouts vary from Zumba to Boot Camp to Sunrise/Sunset Yoga and are free and open to the public in an effort to promote healthy and sustainable lifestyles. The “Get Fit For Summer” class schedule through May 31 includes:

 

V-Boot Camp: Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.

Boot Camp: Tuesdays 7:00 a.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m.

Sunrise Yoga: Thursdays 6:30 – 7:30 a.m.

Sunset Yoga: Tuesdays 5:45 – 6:45 p.m.

Vinyasa: Fridays 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Sunrise Yoga: Thursdays 6:30 – 7:30 a.m.

Zumba: Thursdays 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Come experience a beautiful morning and the ancient tradition of dragon boat racing on the Anacostia River, now one of the fastest growing modern sports in the world! What is dragon boating? It's a competitive sport where twenty paddlers work together as one to surge through the water toward the finish line, all in time to the rhythmic beat of the drummer.

DC Dragons invite you to our free weekly intro and technique classes for dragon boat racing!  You will learn basic stroke technique and timing from experienced paddlers who have raced in the US, Canada, and at the 2013 World Dragon Boat Racing Championships. No experience is necessary and after a quick warm-up, you'll get right on the water to learn how to paddle. 

This unique, low-impact sport is a great workout for people of all ages and fitness levels.

DATE/TIME: Every Sunday, 8:45AM-10:30AM.

Pond Tour at Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

From the Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens website: "Explore and walk the aquatic gardens with a ranger and experience the sights and sounds of Kenilworth's aquatic environment.

Pond tours are held on weekends from 9:30 am to 10:30 am starting APRIL 26th. Pond tours meet and start in front of the visitor center.

Stick around for a Nature Walk from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm and experience the river trail and boardwalk with a ranger."

Note: Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens is part of the National Park Service. The park was recently highlighted as the "greatest outdoor space in the District" by the Prince of Petworth.
