Hey y'all! I'm Tif...and I blog...rather "go on"...or as my Grandmother would have said "RAMBLE" at Ramblings of a Southern Belle! I'm a silly,
serious, goofy, clumsy, anxious, worry wart, shop-o-holic, shoe
addicted, HARD CORE bargain hunter, art loving, creative outlet in many
forms, photo taking, Photoshop addicted, people pleasing, song writing,
choir singing, people loving, fiercely faithful, curious, sheltie
loving, honest, trustworthy, quirky, loud mouth , protective,
passionate, finger snapping....lol..., deer hunting tomboy (who wears
pink camo, and sometimes fancy house shoes to my stand), wife to my high
school sweetheart, Mom to my amazing 23 year old son, finding it's time
to get personal and get real...and a woman who is still searching for
who she is! Here I am a
"___-ty eh hem...something" gal who had to grow up early and fast...now...I'm
just trying to find out my own place in this life! I hope you'll stop over and sit a spell with me!
I have a couple of link up days I've started on my blog. First is "Treasure Memory Monday". Do you have lots of stories, photos, little ditty's that you want to share? I know I do and each Monday I share a snippet from my life. I would love to have you join in! Also...I have another linkup...sigh...it's my favorite...It's called "Fashionista Friday" where I share my weeks fashion love! And this week...I'm having my very first giveaway on my blog....on Fashionista Friday the 31st! And my co-host is my dear friend Amy from Love.Bug and there will be fashion goodies...yep...yum!
So...Sweet Neely gave me a little interview...(insert girly screech here...lol)
Neely: What made you start blogging?
Tif: Well...I've had about 8 blogs since the early days of blogging...lol! But none of them were ever "me". I tried blogging about what everyone else was blogging about...BORING...then I blogged about my amazing kid who struggles with a disability...but that was hard...since I was right in the middle of it and really didn't have any "advice" for anyone...since I'd not gotten THRU it. So then I got another Sheltie...and started blogging....do you see the pattern here? Ugh. Okay...so my kid graduated from High School and I began to wonder.."now what?" "Who am I now?" and that did it! I got out, started finding out what I loved, I wanted to say, I wanted to do. Then I decided to try again. This time...the blog is me...I mean really me! And I am LOVING it!
Neely: Do you have any blogging influences?
Tif: Well...as I stated above, I want to be me. BUT I do love the fact that I've been able to look at other blogging styles and take lesson from them. I love Brooke from Covered in Grace! She is AMAZING! One of my bestie bloggy friends! I love so many blogs and I love supporting the ones I love! Ergo..thank goodness for "sponsorship" right!? When it's all said and done though...I'm going to fumble and fall...but I'm going to keep trying to be me and hope that what my blog is remembered for is me...the real me.
Neely: What are your Fall fashion staples?
Tif: OOOOH...FALL is COMING! I'm so excited! I'm SO NOT a Summer person! So let's see. I've already started stalking the Fall looks! Three "must" categories for me:
a. Boots - Flat, Heeled, Black, Neutral...and if I can get my hands on a pair of embroidered ones...they will be added to the mix!
b. Cover Up - I love a soft cropped leather Jacket, a blazer jacket of some kind and a knitted wrap!
c. Pants - Jeans (long...boot cut), Skinny and leggings.
If I have the above...EVERYTHING in my closet...is Fall wear!
Neely: What are your 3 favorite things to do outside of your day job?
Tif: Day job? Oh that thing I do once a week for my husband's business? LOL! Nah...I do that....but when my son was in 5th grade I became a full time stay at home Mom, now a stay at home wife. But as far as hobbies are concerned (if you ask my husband he will say WAY TO MANY) I take an "Artist Development" class at Sarah Kelly Music School. I sing in my Church Choir, but really feel I'm called to lead worship. SO...I'm learning to write, sing and record my own songs. I've written 3, they get better each time I do it. I'm actually recording my newest song on Tuesday! (eek). Also, we as a family are hunters. I know that is a controversial subject...but let me assure you that we are not out there to "shoot up the woods", we are responsible hunters and only take what we will eat. Most of the time...I'm shooting with my camera! Finally, I love singing with the Choir! Talk about feeling good...I love praising my Lord in song and look forward to it every week!
Neely: What are 3 things we should know about you?
Tif: Gosh, only 3? LOL! First, you get what you see...what you see is what you get. I'm real...and do not try to portray myself as something I'm not. Second, I'm a giver...I just LOVE to see the smile on peoples faces! Lastly and most sadly...I don't know what my real hair color is! HAAAA! Yep...there it is...I'm a dork!
