The Packers will face the Titans, Rams, Raiders, and Chiefs in this year's preseason games.

The NFL is announcing its 2014 schedule in waves this year once again, and today we learned about the league's preseason slate. The Green Bay Packers have their typical four games, two at home and two on the road, and will play some familiar preseason foes in their warmup games before the regular season begins.

Here is the Packers' full preseason slate:

The Packers play frequent a preseason opponent in the Chiefs again this season, as they have played each other in each of the past four preseasons going back to 2010. Green Bay also played the Rams in St. Louis last season, while the team has many connections with the Raiders (including GM Reggie McKenzie and players Charles Woodson, James Jones, and C.J. Wilson).

Green Bay Press-Gazette writer Todd McMahon notes an unfortunate conflict with that game against the Raiders:

With Aug. 22 home game on CBS against Oakland, #Packers again will play 1st Friday night of Wisconsin high school football season. #wisfb

The NFL will be releasing the full regular-season schedule later this month. The Packers will play their usual six divisional games, they will play each team in the AFC East and NFC South, and they will also play the other two NFC division winners. As a reminder, those games are broken down as follows:

Home games

Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles

Road games

Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Minnesota Vikings, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Seattle Seahawks

We also learned recently that the NFL is reportedly putting the Packers-Bills game on Monday Night Football at some point during the 2014 season, but no other details of the schedule have yet been announced. The Packers may be a candidate to play in the season-opening game on the road at the Super Bowl-winning Seahawks, but there has been no indication yet whether that will indeed be the case.

As soon as the regular season schedule is announced, we will begin breaking it down here at Acme Packing Company.
