Concord, California Launches Accela Civic Hero for Citizen Service Requests
Simple Mobile App Lets Concord Citizens Report and Track Non-Emergency Community Issues; Improves Engagement with Government
SAN RAMON, Calif. – October 28, 2014 – Accela, the leading provider of civic engagement solutions for government agencies, and Concord, California announced today the availability of the Accela Civic Hero app. With the launch of , citizens will have an easy way to report community issues such as graffiti, potholes or damaged public property to the local government. By simply selecting the type of issue being reported and snapping a quick photo or adding a comment, the app will send the report directly to the appropriate government agency and track the status. Citizens can also review and comment on issues reported by others in the community.

Today, the following request types can be submitted via Concord Civic Hero: Pothole, Street Light, Graffiti, Animal Nuisance, Abandoned Vehicle, Trash Removal, Tree Maintenance, Tall Grass and Weeds, Leaking Fire Hydrant, Junk on Property, Illegal Sign, Vacant Building, Working without Permit, Illegal Occupancy, Street Flooding, Fence Dispute, and Sub-standard Property.
