From all-inclusive resorts that offer camel treks and falcon shows to quiet retreats that allow you to switch off in the spa, we’ve rounded up some of the most welcoming getaways right on your doorstep. Take time out to experience nearby attractions and local culture. It’s time for a staycation!

Aside from the 190 sea-view rooms, the resort also boasts six waterfront villas, perfect for stepping out your doorstep and onto a private lawn just metres from the beach.

Catering to families, children will be well taken care of in the dedicated pool with play area. Naturally, the resort has a fully-fledged recreation club complete with a fitness centre, sports courts, a spa and watersports centre. If you fancy a bit of adventure, take advantage of the desert island location by booking a snorkelling trip, deep-sea fishing excursion, water skiing or windsurfing lesson, or desert safari. The resort can also arrange trips to the nearby Sir Bani Yas Island where you can spot giraffe, oryx and cheetahs on a safari around the wildlife sanctuary. For those looking for a bit of down time, treat yourself to a beachside massage, take a stroll down the 800m of private beach or enjoy a good book on your balcony.
