Mainstream cinema and digital film meet this Sunday  (October 27 ) as Cinema One airs the hit romantic drama movie “One More Try” produced by Star Cinema and Cinema One Originals’ horror film “Di Ingon ‘Nato” at  8PM and 10PM respectively.

“One More Try”starring Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo tells the story of a mother (Locsin) having a terminally ill son. She is forced to reconnect with her child’s estranged father (Dantes) for help. She wants to have another child by him, who can supply their dying child with bone marrow. This daunting process of saving their son, on the other hand, slowly affects and destroys their current relationships.

The heartbreaking film won six trophies from Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 including the Best Picture Award. “There was a lot of tension and it kept rising,” said Rappler’s Carljoe Javier.

Meanwhile, “Di Ingon ‘Nato” (Not Like Us), a zombie film starring Rez Cortez, Mercedes Cabral and Franco Reyes, revolves around a remote mountain village in Cebu, wherein a farmer will commit murder, a young doctor will lose her first patient, and a barangay captain will find a girl brutally murdered in  a cemetery. The entire community will be drawn into mystery, which will be unraveled soon as horrific event will follow and they will have to rely on each other to survive.

“Di Ingon ‘Nato” gained positive reviews from the public. Editor of www.twitch film.com Todd Brown praised the film, which he described as “a very artistic twist on the zombie genre.”

SAMPALAN NINA ANGEL AT ANGELICA SA “ONE MORE TRY” MULING MAPAPANOOD NA SA CINEMA ONE

May handog na iyakan at katatakutan ang Cinema One ngayong Linggo (October 27 ) kung saan back-to-back na mapapanood ang drama movie na “One More Try” na pinrodyus ng Star Cinema at digital horror film na “Di Ingon ‘Nato” mula sa Cinema One Originals sa ganap na 8PM at 10PM.

Tampok sa “One More Try” sina Angel Locsin, Dingdong Dantes, Angelica Panganiban at Zanjoe Marudo. Matutunghayan dito ang kuwento ng isang inang may anak na natataglay ng malubhang sakit. Dahil dito, kinailangan niyang makipag-ugnayan sa ama (Dantes) ng bata na gaya niya’y may iba na ring karelasyon para hingan ito ng tulong. Hinihiling niyang bigyan siya nito ng isa pang anak na siya namang tanging paraan para isalba ang may sakit mula sa kamatayan. Maapektuhan naman ng husto ang kani-kanilang mga relasyon.

Humakot ng anim na parangal ang naturang pelikula sa Metro Manila Film Festival 2012 kabilang na ang Best Picture Award. “Maraming tensyon ang pelikula at patindi ito nang patindi,” puna ni Carljoe Javier ng Rappler.

Naging maugong na usap-usapan din dito ang mga komprontasyon at sampalan ng mga karakter nina Locsin and Panganiban.

Samantala, isang zombie film naman ang “Di Ingon ‘Nato” (Not Like Us) na kinatatampukan nina Rez Cortez, Mercedes Cabral at Franco Reyes. Umiikot ang istorya nito sa liblib na baryo sa Cebu kung saan may magsasakang papatay, isang batang doktor na hindi maisasalba ang kauna-unahan niyang pasyente, at isang kapitan ng barangay na makakatagpo ng babaeng biktima ng karumal-dumal na pagpaslang sa sementeryo. Mababalot ng misteryo ang buong lugar habang kinakailangan namang magtulungan ng mga tao roon para maligtas at mabuhay.
