The winners of the first ever tandem of representatives to pioneer a stronger bond of unity between two cultures were finally declared last June 30, 2013 during the grand coronation night of the first ever Mr. and Miss Chinatown Philippines held at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World Manila.

The title of Mr. Chinatown Philippines 2013 and the Ambassador of Good Will went to this year’s self-confessed “lola’s boy” Randy See, while the title of Miss Chinatown Philippines and the Ambassadress of Good Will went to Philippine School of Interior Design student Rolini Lim Pineda.

The two were selected out of an intense judging round done by many acclaimed professionals in a wide variety of fields. The judges for the coronation were Richard Yap, Janine Tugnon, Cory Vidanes, Jasper Tiu, Hon. Pan Feng, Dory Poa, Knoi Esmane, Wilson Go, Angel Ngu, Jose Go, and Brian Lim.

Mr. Chinatown Philippines 2013, Randy See, displayed confidence all throughout—almost breezing through the crucial question-and-answer portion. See also proved to be a winner early on, as he also took home the title of Best in Active Wear.

Rolini Lim Pineda was a first-timer in the realm of such competitions. She was a pleasant surprise when she took the stage—emitting a veteran-like charisma that instantly turned her into a crowd favorite. Upon the moment of the coronation, many in the audience raised their hands in favor of candidate number four’s victory, holding up four fingers to cheer her on.

The two grand winners had the privilege of taking home P500,000 each, and were both respectively entitled to a trip to Beijing or Shianghai, inclusive of hotel accommodations. They were also awarded a contract with ABS-CBN.

The runners-up of the competition, Maricon Cho and Jerome Edward Tan, were also awarded with cash prizes worth P300,000 each, and they both were made entitled to accommodations at Misibis Bay.

The second runners-up, Michelle Marie Sy and Skye Yang, each took home P200,000 in cash. Each of them were also given accommodations in another sought-after destination, Palao Blue Water.
