The budding Green Jeans Farmery development is starting to take shape.

Cranes on Friday placed a series of shipping containers at the site near I-40 40 and Carlisle —crates that Santa Fe Brewing Co. will transform into its first Albuquerque taproom. Roy Solomon, the developer behind the city’s first shipping-container project, said the taproom should open in June. A series of food vendors will quickly follow, including Epiphany Espresso, Amore Neapolitan Pizza, Bocadillos, Phat Burger and Rockin’ Taco.

Green Jeans — which also features a hydroponic farm — has another four to six spaces left to lease, Solomon said. All told, the development will comprise 31 8-by-40-foot containers, plus two more placed vertically as signs.
