Aadhar is a cost-effective solution to implement subsidy programmes of the Government.

The ease with which Aadhar can be obtained is reiterated by the fact that there are more than one billion people possessing an Aadhar identity in India.

Banking at convenience (even at doorstep) and direct transfer of subsidies are some of the many advantages that Aadhar project has enabled. It has become a cost-saver for the Government as well.

Mr. Kaushik Basu, World Bank Chief Economist has said that the digital revolution is transforming the world, aiding information flows and facilitating the rise of developing nations that can make the best out of the new opportunities.
