WIRED is delighted to announce further speakers as well as the draft agenda, subject to updates, for WIRED RETAIL together with Valtech, the inaugural one-day event focusing on the future of retail, being held on November 24, 2014.

Newly confirmed speakers include Andy Young from Stripe on seamlessly integrating payments into the move to mobile; Tom Allason, head of local at eBay and founder of Shutl, on providing fast and reliable same-delivery – backed by eBay; Hemal Kuntawala from M&S Digital Labs, a team that experiments with new digital products and business models at M&S.

The future of retail is driven by ubiquitous connectivity. With the sector undergoing a rapid, digital-led transformation, WIRED RETAIL will bring together startups, tech giants and established high-street players to explain and discuss the converging trends and technologies disrupting commerce today. It will offer a future-facing look at the emerging opportunities for smart retailers, disruptors, investors, marketers, designers, advertisers, buyers and policymakers.

Blogger Amber Venz, cofounder of rewardStyle, a global monetisation solution built for digital style publishers, and most recently enabling shoppers to buy direct from Instagram with liketoknow.it; Nicole Vanderbilt, VP, international at Etsy, on the emergence of microbusinesses leapfrogging retailers and the burgeoning maker-movement; Runar Reistrup, CEO of Depop on building a peer-to-peer community who buy and sell straight from their mobile.

Ross Bailey, founder, of Appear Here who will be focusing on revolutionising the way people rent space and bringing the property industry into the digital age; J Skyler Fernandes, MD of Simon Venture Group, the corporate venture capital arm of Simon, the largest mall operator and retail real-estate company in the US.

Retail-data scientist Neil Capel, founder and CEO of Sailthru, and an expert in predicting what we will buy online before we know ourselves.

Jack Hidary, a New York-based entrepreneur on scratching the itch of same-day demand; Tom Allason, head of local at eBay and founder of Shutl, on providing fast and reliable same-delivery – backed by eBay.

Hemal Kuntawala from M&S Digital Labs, a team that experiments with new digital products and business models at M&S; Andre Wegner, CEO of Authentise, on mass customisation by 3D printing, the digitisation of manufacturing and the “endless shelf”.

Further speakers will be announced over the coming weeks, including 18 new dynamic companies to speak on the Startup stage.

WIRED RETAIL will be hosted at Canary Wharf’s Level39, Europe’s largest accelerator space for finance, retail and future cities technology companies.
