8-12 Jul: Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival – CPT

The festival, which started the 4th, is a celebration of the top musicians in chamber music. And if you aren’t that familiar with classical music, try the Symphony Concert Saturday, 12 July, where Tumi Morake from Tumi and The Volume will be performing as celebrity guest narrator.

9 Jul: Grilling of a Lifetime – JHB

Watch 2014 Lifetime Achiever recipient Mark Banks get pulled apart by comedy legends Joe Parker (Grill Master), John Vlismas, Dave Levinsohn, Robert Whitehead, Kagiso Lediga and more. Sounds like a fun night.

9 Jul: MonArk Negatives album launch - JHB

MonArk has established themselves as one of the most exciting acts in the SA music scene, and they’re finally launching their debut album, Negatives, this week. These guys have been topping charts with singles like “Build It Up” and “Something”. There are only 100 tickets available, which includes drinks and snacks, so don’t sleep on it.

10-12 Jul: Plett Food Film Festival – PLETT

A weekend where film and food meet. Watch screenings of world-class and international feature films, short films and documentaries that explore food, farming, food manufacture and food sustainability, attend discussions after screenings and marvel at gourmet culinary presentations by local food connoisseurs.  Zebra & Giraffe, South African Film Director Regardt Van den Bergh, Chef Karen Dudley and Rhian Berning are just a few names that will be present.

12 Jul: 8 Course Food & Beer Pairing at La Bottega – CPT

Head to the Franschhoek Wine Valley this weekend to celebrate Bastille Day and the area’s French Huguenot heritage. All guests are asked to wear a beret (the are on sale outside the marquee with proceeds going to hospice), as they enjoy a day of fine food and Franschhoek wines.
