For Spring/Summer 17 sports brand Puma has launched their latest campaign, Run The Streets, collaborating with Grammy-winning artist Abel Tesfaye a.k.a The Weeknd on a project where sportswear performance meets street-style.
The range itself is for the city-dweller who wants to own her look, with street ready, technically progressive products. Tesfaye has brought his laid-back, streetwise style to Run The Streets, with line for individuals who want to stand out, live bold and move with attitude.
Personally I think the sneakers are the perfect blend between retro and modern; adding edge to your everyday urban outfit and giving your the support you need for a fast paced life. I’m thinking a cap, slogan T-shirt, a feminine skirt and then these babies. Swoon!
Puma wanted to put together a range that brings you versatility, adaptability and innovation within street style, fusing innovative sporting features with the attitude of disruptive modern streetwear design.
Footwear in the collection includes the IGNITE evoKNIT in new colourways White and Burnt Olive-Forrest Night. The all-new evoKNIT technology comes with a fully knitted upper for a form-fitting comfort, stretch and breathe-ability, plus a branded, collared sleeve along the ankle for full support. The upper also features a supporting strap that locks the heel into the platform of the shoe, and the midsole featuring the Puma IGNITE Foam, boosting energy responsiveness.
In summary, it’s going to help you run your life with swag and comfort.
You’ll also find the IGNITE Limitless sneaker with a street-inspired design combined with running-approved comfort of the responsive IGNITE midsole, making it ideal for those who are always on the go (hey, that’s me!).
AND having been teased in The Weeknd’s Starboy video, January will see the limited release of the IGNITE Limitless Hi Tech and Extreme Hi Tech in Black colourway, with a wider release in February 2017 where you’ll get the Core men and women’s pack.
The apparel range suits active individuals who take their wardrobe and their workouts seriously.
The updated IGNITE evoKNIT (R2 599) will be available in PUMA stores, as well as the likes of Sport Scene, Totalsports and Cross Trainer from 15 November 2016. The apparel will be available in-store mid February 2017.
