For me what sets a great outfit apart from the rest is attention detail. It could be a pair of kicks with an awesome pattern, a daring lip colour or bold nail art design, or interesting textures and prints. A simplistic outfit can be given instant edge with an intricate necklace, bad-ass heels or a peek of sexy lace peeking out from beneath a light strappy top.
Perhaps it is the fact that I have been hiding under various layers of clothing for the last few chilly months, but I am currently obsessed with show-off lingerie. I love a low cut tank or spaghetti strap top with a just a flirtation of detail, or a sheer button up shirt giving just a hint of what is beneath. Lately I have been particularly drawn to beautiful back details worn underneath loose T-bar tank tops for an edgy Boho appearance.
Something else I have been absolutely obsessed with over the last few months is a dark lipstick. Think burgundy, purple and maroons veering to black. Dark lipsticks are having a moment and can be worn through winter into spring. You can team it up with your black biker jacket for a grunge feel or with a feminine white dress for a delicate yet daring appearance. For a daytime I will wear it with nearly-naked eyes, or I will pair it with a slightly smoky eye for a Vamp-inspired evening look.
And finally, I think you can really refine your outfit with the right jewellery. In the past I have been drawn to big, bold accessories and I still find a chunky ring or striking pendant necklace appealing, but over the last few seasons I have been increasingly enchanted by finer, intricate pieces that forces people to pay closer attention to the details in your outfit.

I first saw these back detail styles on Pinterest and just fell in love, so I was thrilled when I saw the styles available locally at La Senza. This specific bra has a more-than-generous amount of push-up that is great for me but they have a couple of options that sport the racer back details. Accessorize Bracelet R299 and Necklace R799. There is a nice selection of these Bohemian-style necklaces and bracelets at Accessorize right now. I just loved the combination of charms, stones and delicate metal details.
Inglot Lip Tint Matte in 20 R499. There is no holding back with this lippie. It dries to a proper matte finish and if you apply two coats you get this really cool almost-black cherry shade. The applicator is a little tricky for precise lines around the lip lines and the lip feel is slightly tight, but the colour payoff is brilliant and it lasts for ages.
