Sarah Jessica Parker is to be presented with a CLIO Award.

The 49-year-old actress will be the first to receive an Honorary Image Award next month. The gong recognizes a career of creative contributions to the fashion and beauty industries.

Sarah Jessica has always been at the forefront of fashion thanks to her iconic role as Carrie Bradshaw in Sex and the City. During her career she has been the face of many huge fashion brands and in March this year she took her style prowess to launch her first fashion line under a namesake label, SJP.

While Sarah Jessica is yet to comment on her forthcoming award, she has spoken previously about how her Sex and the City characters love of shoes transitioned into her real life passion.

“Trust in the simple,” she explained to WWD when discussing her shoe collection. “I was so happy to support the single-sole shoe again. I think color can be a neutral, people always have to ask their friends and husbands, ‘Is this navy or black?’ I want it to be clear.”

The star’s collection has been welcomed by many people, and the Did You Hear About The Morgans? actress is hopeful that her four-year-old twin daughters, Marion Loretta Elwell and Tabitha Hodge will be big fans of her work after revealing recently that they already love fashion.

“My daughters came to the pop-in shop and tried on shoes… but I will say, any true keen interest they have in fashion is engineered solely on their own!” Sarah laughed to E! News.

“They have wonderful fantasy lives that have nothing to do with who I am. They really make up their own clothes and costumes and dress themselves.”

The award will be presented to Sarah Jessica at The Pierre hotel in New York on May 7.
