First, Uber changed the taxi game. Now it’s about to change the way we order take out.
Starting Tuesday, Uber has released a new social foodie trial called UberFRESH. For the next two weeks, the famous rideshare app is delivering food straight to your Santa Monica home or office.
While the limited time offer is exclusive to Santa Monica, UberFRESH expects their lunchtime order system to be a big hit. If demand is high, UberFRESH will expand to the rest of Southern California, letting you get your Larchmont pizza delivered to your Calabasas apartment. Well, maybe not quite that far, because UberFRESH guarantees to deliver your food in 10-minutes or less – much better than the more common 45-minutes wait times that many lunch deliveries promise.
In an attempt to bypass the long lines and complicated online ordering systems of many Santa Monica favorites, UberFRESH has put together a fixed price lunch menu for every day deals at some of our favorite lunch spots. Hungry people can order from UberFRESH between the window of 11:30am – 2:30pm.
Here are some examples of the lunches available:
DAILY MENU
TUESDAY – Tender Greens
Rustic Chicken Soup & Romaine Hearts Caesar Salad
Soup with potato, carrot, celery, leeks and thyme & salad with caesar dressing (made from scratch using a traditional recipe)
WEDNESDAY – 41 Ocean
Farmer’s Market Salad
Freshly picked farmers market vegetables with blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette by Executive Chef Jimmy Martinez
THURSDAY – Bay Cities Italian Deli & Bakery
Large Godmother with The Works (mild)

FRIDAY – Tender Greens
Roasted Roma Tomato Soup & Baby Arugula Salad
Soup with basil oil and ciabatta croutons and salad with tomato and balsamic vinaigrette
