This morning on Ty Loves NY we had a contest on who can build an IKEA cabinet better… Men or women? Ty couldn’t figure out how to build an IKEA table, and his fiancé Corri put it together in no time! That’s pretty sad, don’t you think? Ty did some research, and he found out that women can makes sense of the directions and pictures easier. Ty doesn’t feel so masculine, and wants to know once and for all. Is it him, or is it all men? Ty decided he wanted to have a battle of the sexes. Martha and Andrew came in the studio today to prove who can build a piece of furniture faster, and do it right.

Yesterday Lulu made a list of the top things guys should know; and building a piece of IKEA furniture is one of them. Pete Davidson from Guy Code joined us on the show today, and he gave us his perspective on what guys show know how to do. He says “guys shouldn’t have to know how to build a piece of furniture.” Maybe he’s right, I mean men are only good for lifting the furniture anyway.

Since Ty felt ashamed, he wanted to put the Battle Of The Sexes to the test: Martha versus Andrew to see who could install an IKEA table the fastest on the 1 train! Martha felt she’d going to win because she’s detail oriented women get it right! Andrew felt he’d win because he just knows! Cocky much?

With that being said the two FINALLY made their way back to the 92.3NOW studios with their desks! Andrew did it far faster (45 minutes to 2 hours and 14 minutes), but there are a few issues! Martha took longer, but it’s all complete!
